Porridge with stewed blueberries

Difficulty : Medium ( Equipment needed : A milk pan )

Ingredients : 

1 cup oats ( rolled unprocessed oats )

2 cups unsweetened almond milk ( soy / coconut milk or the usual milk could also be used )

1 tbsp of honey

1 tsp of organic cinnamon

Handful of nuts ( I have used pecans and dried cranberries here )

Handful of blueberries

Method : 

1.Boil the milk in a milk pan and add the oats

2.Let it simmer for about 8 mins till it starts to bubble and is good consistency without being too thick

3. On a different pan, add a blueberries and a splash of water over them

4. Let the blueberries simmer for about 4-5 mins till it gets squished and easy to mash up with a fork

5.Time to assemble your porridge :-). Take a bowl and add your cooked porridge to it. Add the cinnamon, honey and give the porridge a good stir. Sprinkle the nuts and add your stewed blueberries on the side and serve immediately.
